Biography

Eleanor Vance is a critically acclaimed Scottish novelist and historian whose works bridge meticulous archival research with poignant character studies. Raised in St Andrews, Vance spent over a decade examining 18th-century cartographical records in European archives before releasing her break-through novel, The Silken Thread of Time.

Her writing has been praised by reviewers worldwide for its atmospheric cadence, rich sensory detail, and profound empathy for historical figures navigating periods of intense geopolitical transition.

Vance holds a Master of Letters in Early Modern History from the University of Edinburgh. When not buried in maritime cartography archives, she lectures on narrative historical craft across Europe and North America.
